The first day of a very exciting trip! We had a long layover in Portugal, so we were able to visit the sights of Lisbon. The stairs behind us lead directly into the Atlantic Ocean, which was really neat because it was not the typical side of the Atlantic we're used to seeing! This day also marked Holly's first day ever in Europe!

While we were in Italy this past spring we took a 13 hour guided tour from Rome, of Pompeii and The Amalfi Coast! Pompeii was so surreal and great to see in person. Mount Vesuvius was HUGE! Holly's favorite pizza from Italy was down in this region (Napoli/Naples).

The same day as visiting Pompeii, Holly and Matthew were able to visit Positano in Italy, a city that is on the edge of the Amalfi Coast. There were a lot of winding roads to get there, but the lemon flavored treats were totally worth it!

We also took a cooking class while in Florence! In this class we made delicious bruschetta, roast pork, tagliatelle with a ragu sauce, rosemary potatoes, and tiramisu. The top of this mountain had such an amazing view! (This was very close to the Iris Garden where Matthew proposed!)
