This is the exact Iris patch that Matthew proposed to Holly near! Holly suggested that the colors should be our wedding colors, and Matthew thought that was a good idea, so he solidified the thought right then and there!

Our first picture together! This was taken at the end of year marching band banquet after we had just started talking! How cute! We were both super scared to ask each other to take a picture together, but Holly was determined to make it happen... so she asked Matthew first!

Anything But Clothes party! This party was thrown at the UMass Minuteman Marching Band (UMMB) drumline house and it was encouraged to wear... well... anything but clothes! Matthew is wearing a pillow case sewn by Holly to be a sort of toga type outfit, while Holly (and a friend) wore "Danger" tape they found at Walmart. They put some on Matthew to match! At this point in time, Matthew and Holly were not officially dating, but were definitely inseparable! P.S this is one of our favorite photos together, since it was such a fun night! (Other friends wore things such as bed sheets or empty beer boxes)

Our first bike ride together! This was Matthew's first time visiting Holly in NJ and the first time he experienced Wawa and pork roll breakfast sandwiches (of course on a bagel)! Now anytime they visit NJ, it is a requirement to head to the local bagel shop.

The night before Matthew officially asked Holly to be his girlfriend! We went to a local and seasonal fair at the Horse Park of NJ. We went on rides, shopped at the local farmer's market and craft fair, and watched some amazing fireworks.

Holly surprised Matthew at a football game while Matthew was playing with the UMMB. At this time, Holly was no longer in the band, but both being in the band at one point is what sparked our first conversation back in 2016. Matthew played the mellophone (2014-2017) while Holly was in the drumline (2016).

The Big E (Eastern States Exposition) is a fair type event for all northeastern states to be represented at. There are different foods from each state, local shopping, rides, livestock shows, and concerts. Holly and Matthew saw Smash Mouth this year, while another year Holly and her friends got to see AJR! Matthew also bought a cowboy hat from a local leather shop.
